Congrats! to all the "brides-to-be" and welcome to The Wedding Designer blogsite.

My name is Susan Christin-Foy and I have been playing with flowers for well over 20 years. It is my greatest passion.

I love a challenge, I love the simplicity of a design and the complexity of a flower. I love being inspired by each individual bride- your concepts, tastes, and personality are the seeds of new ideas. I couldn't do my job without you. So give me all you got and let's design a wedding!

Special thanks to all my brides and their photographers for supplying photos-I usually see you on your way to hair and make-up so it's been a pleasure to see you in all your glory.

Nicole and Jason September 26 2010

Nicole was great fun to work with.  She wanted a minimal simple look and she completely trusted me to interpret her vision. Although flowers weren't a huge priority for her at first, I think it ended up being one of her favorite things about her wedding day. Thanks to the fabulous, Mike Bresnen, for these great vintage looking pics!  http://www.mikebresnenphotography.com/

What a great feature on this vintage style dress!

Nicole and Jason had a small and intimate bridal party. The ceremony took place outdoors with family and friends at The Tower Park in Kentucky.

The steps of the hall were garnished with white pumpkins, gourds and vases with floating candles.

Nicole and Jason had guests write sentiments on stones to bring home.

The only flower used throughout the wedding was baby's breath which added to the vintage look.

Nicole's bouquet was a simple cluster of baby's breath and feathers.

I love this picture.  The table numbers they are holding up to represent their wedding date were all hand made by Jason.  Aren't they great?

This shot is just for Nicole......between you and me...never again!  haha

Thanks to Nicole and Jason and Nicole's parents for making me a part of their day!  It was fun!
And thanks to Mike Bresnen for so many pics!

Carrie and Robin 8.07.2010

One of my favorite weddings to date has to be with Carrie.  Although, we only met once, since she was attending school out of town-this wedding was definetly a collaborated effort.  We exchanged many detailed emails and photos to get just the right look that Carrie wanted. Her involvement was terrific as was her mothers'.  The collage of purple hues made these centerpieces memorable.  Thanks, Carrie- you are adorable.  The wedding reception took place at The Phoenix.  These pics were taken by Varland Photography http://www.varlandphotography.com/.

Carrie's bouquet was a soft romantic mix of creams, lavenders and green.

A mother's pride....her face says it all

I love this shot!

This tall centerpiece in topiary style with a full top of mixed purples and whites with dedrobium orchids floating in the vase .

Low centerpieces carried the same full mix of hydrangeas, roses, orchids and stock.

The cake was accented with purple hydrangeas and roses.  Cake by Spoonful of Sugar.

Best of everything to you!  thanks for including me in your day!

Emily and Chris 7.03.2010

Emily was easy to work with and had a great eye for detail.  Im a big fan of the green and white theme- so it was lots of fun to work on.  Her reception was at the Oscar Event Center.  And these great pics were taken by Amy Ellert http://www.intowishininc.com/ (love the name)-Thanks, Amy for sending these to me and thanks, Emily for being so easy!

How cute are they?

Emily's bouquet was a mix of hydrangea, roses and green cymbidium orchids.
The groom has a white rose bout with accent of green dedrobium orchid blooms

The ringbearer and flower girl carried matching pillow and hanging ball filled with green button mums.

The girls carried petite versions of the bride's bouquet using orchid blooms, roses and green fuji mums.

Centerpieces were simple and followed theme.  Half of the tables had eiffle vases with hydrangea blooms and the other half carried cubes with hydrangea, fuji and orchids.

The cake was accented with green orchid blooms and ribbon. Cake provided by Sandy Massey.
